MONDAY AND FRIDAY
Departure: 9:00 a.m.
Starting point:
Adamantas – with a sweet welcome
Itinerary:
We will start the cruise by sailing from the Adamantas harbor, enjoying a view of the Schinopi beach and the rustic, colorful village of Klima, where the famous Venus of Milo sculpture was found, now exhibited in the Louvre Museum in Paris.
Next, we head northwest towards Cape Vani with its massive and colorful vertical cliffs. Vani was once an underwater volcanic crater, and its surrounding landscape is awe-inspiring. It offers a wonderful photo opportunity.
After Cape Vani, we will choose the best available beach in the Kalogries bay (based on your preferences), so you can have your first swim in crystal turquoise waters.
After the swim, you will enjoy breakfast and we will visit Sykia, the biggest and most impressive cave in Milos. Our next stop is Kleftiko, the old pirate hideaway where we will spend plenty of time. This unique cluster of tall limestone rocks is one of the most beautiful and enchanting landscapes in Milos.
Snorkeling here, in the exotic green and turquoise waters, is an amazing experience.
We will provide all necessary equipment and allow you time to swim and explore. You can also try stand-up paddling here. Moving on, we will take the inflatable boat and explore the unique, varied beauty of the Kleftiko caves, and take pictures. Returning to the sailboat, we will have lunch.
We continue sailing along the south coastline of Milos, passing by Gerontas bay and the famous beaches of Firiplaka and Tsigrado, until we reach our next swim stop, in the impressive Gerakas bay. This is one of the best beaches in Milos, and it is only accessible by boat.
The trip continues along the southern shore until we reach the east side of Milos, and specifically the Thiorichia beach, an important landmark where the abandoned sulfur mines from the 1870s are still intact, creating a magical landscape. We will take some pictures and set sail towards Poliegos, the biggest uninhabited Greek island, famous for its crystal blue and green waters. We will choose the best beach for a swim in beautiful Poliegos, based on your preferences.
Returning to Adamantas harbor, we will pass by the entire northern coastline of Milos, seeing important locations such as Glaronisia and Sarakiniko (known for white volcanic rocks which give the impression of a lunar landscape). Our last stop for a swim and dessert will be at Plathiena beach.
Finally, while sailing to Adamantas harbor, we will see the seaside village of Fourkovouni and, on the east side of the Adamantas bay entrance, we will see another important landmark: the “Arkoudes” (bears), impressive bear-shaped rocks standing 20m tall.
We will return to Adamantas bay around 18:30.
In case of extremely strong winds or other unforeseen circumstances, which make it impossible to sail we might need to cancel the cruise. We will always try to inform you the earliest possible by email or text. Then we will look at our options; firstly if we can transfer you to another available day. If this is not possible then you will receive a fulyl refund of your payment.
